    who, me?

i enjoy onomatopoeia and unicorns. i’m alicia; an afro-latina who studied opera as an undergrad, a queer, womanist, unitarian, survivor, who works (as a counselor, but sometimes as an outreach volunteer, sometimes as a hotline worker, sometimes as an organizer or activist) with survivors of sexual assault, child sexual abuse and domestic violence, folks engaged in sex work and folks living with HIV. i lived in south korea. i’m in graduate school. i talk a lot about sex, food and anti-oppression. i love to travel. i’ve never taken a women’s studies class. i’m vegetarian. i like books. i co-edit a satire magazine called asterisk* and work with grupo afro-descendiente, loving on afro-latinos all day.
